The dark knight rises review

The Dark Knight Rises

WARNING: contains spoilers.

The final film of Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy. Batman must save a city that had labelled him an enemy when he comes face to face with a villain, Bane, whom is fueled by a pent-up rage and hunger for vengeance. A man sculptured with every inch of his body powered with infuriating strength compressed beneath his intimidating muscle.
Eight years had gone by since Batman had saved the city from his ex foe The Joker. He was able to save the city, however he could not save himself.
After relinquishing his duties to Gordon to protect the city 8 years ago, Bruce Wayne diagnoses himself as a cripple in some respects due to his failure to pick himself up again after the blame he received for Harvey Dent's death. However when new masked foe Bane emerges, Batman is forced by himself and the fate of Gotham to break his 8-year exile and return to defeat Bane from fulfilling his destructive plan  fuelled by vengeance in order to earn his rightful heroic place of Gotham's protector.
Throughout the duration of the film, we see Bruce Wayne's growing fight for his city and fight for himself.
The epic battles and devious plots throughout the film show a consistency of Banes plan to destroy Gotham. However, we are unaware of the specific reasons why he targeted Gotham in particular until we are introduced to the perpetrator of the narrative.
Bane is masked, although so is the perpetrator due to the audiences belief of Bane having full authority of the conducted plan. This is the twist of the plot which appeals to the audiences appetite for thriller.
